Our Story

Mountainview Carpentry and Design is a modern design build workshop based in Okotoks, Alberta. Formally established in 2015, it is owned and operated by The Martins. With a urban, simple aesthetic we strive to provide Project Management, Design, and Build Services from start to finish with our small team of Craftsman, Trades-people, and Designers.

The foothills are not located in the Mountain’s but we do have some mountain’views’. The company was named Mountainview after the feeling of refresh after a day spent in those majestic hills. We hope all projects we work on with our clients evoke the feelings of refresh and renew.

Zack Martin, Journeyman Carpenter

Zack lives and breathes construction - as he should being a red seal carpenter. With a career filled of contemporary custom millwork and renovation projects under his belt he is ready to tackle any project you can throw at him. If you are a wood aficionado like him you will get along just fine. He also knows how to run a residential or commercial project with a daily smile on his face. His motto is transparency and craftsmanship and he will go far and beyond to make any project big or small perfect.

Kyla Martin, Designer

Kyla’s life revolves around all things millwork and design. With 9+ years of residential and commercial construction expertise she is here to help bring your project to life. She loves meeting new clients but is a self proclaimed introvert - extrovert (aren’t all designers) - after a couple conversations she will be your new best friend. Regularly waking up at 3 am thinking of the perfect design detail or how to get your permit passed she is the moving force of all projects. She loves dogs and roaming hardware stores … for fun.
